Elliot Comes Out of the Closet

Elliot finished putting up the shelves in the nursery closet. All we need is a crib and two babies... and two tons of diapers.

Ultrasound Hiccups

It's ultrasound time and one of the twins has the hiccups!

If you got a big ole belly...

Yet another one of Sarah's silly dances!

Big Beautiful Belly

Sarah strikes a pose after getting a good bill of health from her Ob-Gyn! The twins are growing like weeds. They now weigh a pound each and they enjoy kicking mommy and each other. We could see on the ultrasound monitor that one of the little guys had the hiccups!

Baby Surround Sound

The twins enjoyed listening to Beethoven's 6th Symphony, one of Mommy's favorite pieces. The music makes them squirm around. I hope that means they like it!

Sarah and Celery

We got back from the Mothers of Multiples Society meeting and Sarah promptly got into comfy clothes and ate celery with bacon ranch dressing... her new favorite. Notice the late celery sitting unsuspectingly on the counter...

Bumps and Babies!

Sarah practiced using an Over-the-Shoulder-Twin-Baby Holder! That's just a fancy name for a long strip of fabric. Believe me, you need a PhD to figure out how to wrap one of these suckers around you AND get your babies tucked away.

Sarah at 20 weeks and feeling great!

The Best News Yet!

Sarah did a celebratory dance after hearing from the doctor that the twins are doing great and all of the tests came back negative. Hooray for healthy babies!!

Boys Rule!!

Elliot and I went in for our structural ultrasound on Jan 27 and that's when we found out that we are having BOYS!! On the ultrasound we were able to see the four chambers of the heart, kidneys, stomach, the umbilical chord, cerebellum, spinal chord, bones and last of all (but not least) the penis. Our boys look incredible handsome (they take after their daddy) and they're both growing at the same rate and are about the same size. There was some confusion as to whether or not they were identical or fraternal because the placentas are so close together, but the doctor now seems to think they are fraternal. As soon as we pick names for these two rascals, we'll let everyone know!

Enjoy the ultrasound pictures. Personally, I can't get enough of them!

In this ultrasound the twins are putting their little heads together and brainstorming ways to wreak havoc!
This is a sweet profile picture of Baby A. I think he's going to look like his mommy!

Baby B is either sucking on his little hand or he's shaking his fist at us in frustration!

I love this picture of Baby B's little hand. I think he's waving hello.

Look closely and you'll see Baby A's spine and arm bones.

Imagine someone sitting on a clear plastic chair naked and you are under the chair looking up... this is the view we have of the baby's penis. Yes, definitely a boy!

Baby B's sweet profile picture. I think he has Elliot's nose!
