We took the kids to the zoo in Colorado Springs and had a fabulous time. This zoo is situated on a mountain side, so it's very hilly. It boasts an amazing giraffe exhibit where the walkway is at the giraffes' eye level. We got to feed them special giraffe crackers. It's not everyday that you find yourself face to face with a giraffe!
Noah taste-tested the cracker before deeming it worthy to feed to the giraffe!
Caleb didn't want to share his cracker with the giraffe. He kept pulling the cracker away from the giraffe's mouth every time it approached. It was pretty amusing!
This is a picture of Noah's chubby little hands and the giraffe's purple tongue.
Mmmm, delicious!
Noah's point of view.
Yes, that is a double string of spit connecting our son to the giraffe. Yuck! Elliot's face says it all.
Noah's hand has disappeared inside the giraffe's mouth. Where's the hand sanitizer when you need it?
Brown bear, brown bear what do you see? This grizzly bear sure put on a show for us! He would swim back and forth right up against the glass. Noah was particularly fascinated with the bear. It just so happens that "Brown bear, brown bear" by Bill Martin Jr is the boys' favorite book.
A porcupine hanging out in a tree.
What a good looking family!
The tiger on the left was playing with a ball in the water while the other tiger observed.
We got to pet a ten month old baby wallaby.

What a beautiful pair of little boys...love their enthusiasm...even with an arm half way down a giraffe's throat!!!
We visit the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, NE. every chance we have. Our 2 year old grandson has explored every nook and cranny of it.
Great photos and darling boys!
